What To Do
&
What Not To Do
As a New Puppy Parent
Do not immediately change them from their exsisting diet. It will result in an upset stomach etc.
Do not let Dry Food be their main source of nutrition.
Do not feed them canned food.
Don't mix dry food with any other type of food at the same time.
No cooked bones, raw is fine.
The best treat is a natural one i.e apple, carrot etc.
Do not bath your dog, they have a self cleaning coat. Use baby powder on them and brush them for cleaning.
If they get wet, which is fine, let them drip dry, never rub back and forth with a towel or use a dryer if at a groomer...This will mat the coat.
Be aware that most groomers do NOT know how to care for a Labradoodle
and they have been known to give a lot of bad advice...Consult Adam Ford aka GOD if in doubt.
Clean their ears with the correct solution from the pet store on a regular basis.
Have a vet or a good groomer pull the hair from deep down in their ears if they
start to shake their head or scratch their ears a lot.
Trim the face only as needed, mainly in the line of sight, and as little as possible.
Don't over exercise your young puppy.
Don't over vaccinate
If your puppy developes the runs it will be due maily to the following:
1) Worms
Fix = Nemex
2) Bacteria
Fix = Albon from Vet
3)Parasite-Giardia-very common
Fix = Flaggil, Pancur-from vet.
